  • This beautiful Silk Press (aka light yaki) texture is a part of the UnKempt Classic Collection. Reminiscent of pressed out Type 4 natural hair . Medium Coarse Textured straight hair.  Blends best with thick stranded pressed Type 4 hair.


    HAIR | 100% South East Asian Hair steamed processed to a medium textured straight. Medium-low luster. Cuticle Aligned. Single-drawn.  3.5oz Per Bundle

    * no lace closures or frontals at the moment

    LENGTH | Hair is measured in a stretched state. 

    COLOR | Natural color (hues of #1B/#2) * PLEASE NOTE: this texture does tends have browner hues (#2).  Hair can be professionally dyed and bleached. {NOTE | Overbleaching will damage the steamed processed curl pattern.}

  • STYLING |  I recommend wearing this unit in the natural kinky straight state. A simple co-wash & air dry will give the hair alot of body and movement. Paddle brushing the hair will create a high volume look. If you preferred a sleeker finish, blow dry or flat iron the hair on a medium setting. Flexi-rods are a great heatless option for longer-lasting curls/waves.

    LONGEVITY | When bulk hair is ventilated on lace material, there will ALWAYS be a greater chance of shedding when manipulated.  For this reason, lace closures will last longer than a 13x4 lace frontal.  <Lace Closure> In general, a lace closure will last 1-2 years with proper maintenance.  <Lace Frontal> A lace frontal will last 4-6 months worn without adhesive and proper maintenance  On the other hand, a lace frontal worn with strong-hold adhesive on the lace will last around 2-3 months.  <Bundles> This is premium quality, cuticle aligned hair, with durable wefts, than will last 1-2 years with proper maintenance. Coarse/tighter curl pattern need to be detangled with the upmost care to reduce shedding.  Please refer to my “HAIR CARE” section on the website for additional recommendations.

WIG & CAP CONSTUCTION
All units are hand-made or machine-made.  Wefts are sewn on a black, Japanese Mesh-Dome Swim Cap.  This cap is made of quality spandex material with mesh holes throughout.  There is also a thick 1.5 inch elastic band around the entire perimeter that adds stretch and security when worn.  Wig band and comb added.
